Leak or no leak?
Many pipes and tanks with hazardous substances are double-walled for extra protection against leakage. With the LCS waTch leak detection system, we can measure whether these double walls really water-tight and not leaking. This is done by using a slight negative pressure (vacuum) in the space between the double-walled tanks and pipes. By placing a vacuum sensor of 0.5 - 1.5 bar, we can measure pressure fluctuations. As pressure increases from 0.5 bar to 0.75 bar, for example, that is a sign that there is a possible leak. Immediately, an alarm is set or your service will automatically receive a text message from the LCS KD04 KIWA.
